I can remember seeing hibernate as an option when shutting down a laptop when I was much younger. I wondered where the option is now, and I accidentally met it last night.

I have dual booted my laptop. It currently has Windows and Linux Mint installed. I wanted to switch to Linux Mint without having to close my already opened apps. So I opened powershell, typed shutdown /h in hopes of seeing the help for shutdown.exe. Instead of getting the help message for shutdown, my laptop hibernated!

Now I know how to hibernate my laptop my way.

By the way, windows has an article that shows how to enable the hibernate option: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/shut-down-sleep-or-hibernate-your-pc-2941d165-7d0a-a5e8-c5ad-8c972e8e6eff
